- Feel like you shouldn’t be who they really are
- You feel insecure/self conscious/depressed/suicidal
- You get put down

- Name three stereotypes that you are aware of:
In our society.
- Girl/boy judgement
- Disabilities
- Being girly
- In other countries
- Indian/Chinese
- Pakeha
- Muslim
- Ect.
- What are some dangers of putting people into stereotypes?
- People might take it seriously and might harm them self
- People would get let down
- Involved with police
- May go to court
- Suicide
- Self harm
- Depression
- Find some examples of stereotypes that are in your world.
- Men are strong and do all the work.
- Women aren't as smart as a men.
- Women can’t do as good of a job as a man.
- Girls are not good at sports.
- Guys are messy and unclean.
- Men who spend too much time on the computer or read are geeks.
- Girls are smarter than boys.
- Every boy is the same.
- Name some of the things that we do when we stereotype people.
- Call them names
- Physically harm them
- Put them down
- Verbally harm them
- First impression
- Judgement - categorise
- What could be an impact or outcome of doing so?
- They could cut themself
- They could end their life
- Create an image of some sort to inform people about the danger of stereotyping and it’s impact.
