WALT: Vsualise sentences and paragraphs to draw our interpretation of the context

We had to listen to sentences that the teacher read out in the movie 'Hoot' and interpret that image in our head then quickly put it into rough sketches. These is my results.

Back to front poem

Walt: create a back to front poem using descriptive vocabulary.

Singing is a horrible thing,
no one will ever say
It’s an amazing thing.

Singing the truth about how you feel,

It’s a lie!
Lifting you soul in front of strangers,
feeling down,
people thinking you're terrible,
what's good about that?
Songs that you can't sing aren't great.
Why would you say?
Singing lets your spirit fly, It lets go of your feelings and you feel free,
It sucks to sing!
Don’t you ever say to me,
singing is an amazing thing.

Technology

In electronics we have been learning to pt together a alarm system, this is what my alarm system looks from the inside, the way my alarm works is there are two different pressure plates and when you put a heavy object on top of it and when you take it off it makes a loud irritating noise, this all is able to fit in a box.

Maths

In math's class we have been learning to put our information from a plain sheet to a spreed sheet that is on a computer, this is one of my results.

My Fable

Lion’s Day

Lion is big,

Lion is strong,

Lion has a grump,

Lion got tired and sleepy, “What's the time?” Lion moaned.

“Time to get up and out,” his wife groaned.

But he wondered what's there to do when  he was  by the trees?

Lion walked all sad and down, until then his frown turned upside down, a cave nice and deep. It looks like a good place to sleep, Lion jumped in without a care and settled down in the corner with no fear, but what Lion didn’t know was that someone lived there.

After the hours past, Lion woke up and smiled then said “WOW! Breakfast in bed!” Lion munched away, then he stood up and stumbled and flew out of the cave.

He decided since he was out of the cave to go for a walk.

As the hours ran past, he decided to go back for another snack.

Once Lion reached the cave there was nothing there, all except a big furry back, Lion ran away without a trace, leaving that poor furry creature unexplained.

Lion never went back and told the creature what he had done to his food and house.

Lesson:

Don't touch what is not yours ask before you take/use.

Our Flag

It’s OUR Flag!

This is OUR flag!

I believe that this idea is a horrible and utterly huge waste of time and money, the amount of money that the government are putting into the changing of the flag is just ridiculous.

The government has to pay over $55.7 million that is a complete waste of money if they did,  instead of wasting the money on the flag the government could spend that money on wrecked buildings, schools, houses etc. or helpless, unhealthy, sick, injured and many more type of people that are in need.

The history behind this flag is such a treasure, it has been worn and honored by ones that have fallen and fought for our country and others who are now representing us.

I personally recommend that we should keep representing our NZ flag that we have now and keep showing other countries how strong and how AMAZING New Zealand is. KEEP REPRESENTING NEW ZEALAND!!!

The changing of this flag is just unacceptable, the government may think that they're doing it to make NZ stand out and look better but what there actually doing is changing people, hearts, relationships, families, lives, history, memories etc. They do not have the right to do that to the history and families of New Zealand, KEEP OUR FLAG!

Zentangle Art

This is my zentangle that we did in class for art, this took me a while to do this but i am really proud of it

Room 10 Technical challenge

GOAL: launch a ball/device up into the air for as long as possible.
In class we did a technology challenge,we had to make our launcher out of: x4 Ice blocks sticks, p.p ball, Sellotape, x2 Paper clips, 2 Rubber-bands and a A4 paper, in the end when we tested it worked great but we didn't win:( Pippa, Juan and I where very pleased with our result but wish to have another go.
